Ishlab Studio in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn is the private studio
shared by Eli and producer Jamin Gilbert, used mostly for vocals and
overdubs, although full productions can be done there if budget
dictates. The centerpiece of the studio is a refurbished vintage MCI
636 console (with John Hardy mic pres), formerly housed in Powerplay
studios and used on albums such as KRS One, Eric B and Rakim, and Salt
n’ Pepa. The studio also features a grand piano, ProTools HD2,
and a great selection of outboard mic pres and compressors.
